COVID-19 DISASTER PAYMENT

 The COVID-19 Disaster Payment is a one-off payment to help you when COVID-19 restrictions last for more than 7 days. You can’t get this payment for the first 7 days of an event.

How much you can get?

  • If you are eligible* and you lost less than 20 hours work, you’ll get $325 for each relevant period of lockdown.
  • If you are eligible* and you lost 20 hours or more of work, you’ll get $500 for each relevant period of lockdown.

The COVID-19 Disaster Payment is a taxable payment. This means you’ll need to include it in your income tax return.
